AGARTALA, March 15 (TIWN): On Wednesday evening local residents of Laugang area saw a newborn baby’s dead body floating in the water of Laugang river in the area adjacent to Santir Bazar crematorium.

After noticing the dead body of the newborn, locals informed the Santir Bazar PS. Police arrived at the spot after receiving information about the incident.

After recovering the newborn baby from the spot, Police took it to Santir Bazar district hospital for post-mortem.
