Except Tinku Roy, almost all other candidates have been removed from BJP’s candidate list. Badharghat constituency’s Mimi Majumder is one them.

Apart from Mimi Majumder, Papia Datta, Nabadul Banik, Ramprasad Pal, Ashok Sinha like persons are yet to get candidature. Even Biplab Deb yet to get his ticket though CM Manik Saha has said that by evening, all candidates’ names will be announced.

BJP always had an objection against Mimi Majumder’s candidature but due to Biplab Deb’s direct invitation, and recommendation, Majumder got her ticket in bypoll. She even quit Govt job to become MLA and she told media that the step could be taken by her being influenced by Biplab Deb. Also yesterday Majumder kicked off a rally before candidates’ list out but today when the final list was declared, her name was found slashed.

On the other hand, heavy infighting is going on inside the BJP and party offices across the state are vandalized by own party workers after the candidates’ list was declared.
