AGARTALA, Jan 27 (TIWN): Car seized with Rs 6 lakhs without valid documents near Matangini Hazra School, on the way to Bishramganj from Amarpur. The vehicle was detained by squad during Naka checking.

The 6 lakh Rupees was recovered from the vehicle No- TR03M0647

The money was recovered from one Tapan Debnath and he could not show any valid documents. He said that the money was of business related but the official strictly stated that they will hand over the money to the Higher Authority if the owner could not provide any valid document.

However, tension generated over recovering such a huge amount of money ahead of the Poll.
