AGARTALA, Jan 8 (TIWN): Four years back when the entire nation was protesting against Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) and in Tripura the protest took a bigger form the then culprit Chief Minister Biplab Deb caused a planned violence in Madhab Bari where ADC’s outsider people with BJP flags in hands started violence, set fire in shops and properties and then police started firing at the peacefully agitating Tiprasa (indigenous) youths which left many seriously injured. So far no arrest of the BJP workers was held even though their faces were exposed in footages.
After the police firing when the injured persons were taken to hospital, then TSR jawans stopped the ambulance and further beaten up the injured persons not allowing the vehicle to process. Question still prevails whether the people in TSR attire where really TSR jawans or not. The entire violence was conducted under then SP Ajit Pratap Singh.
Today, remembering that day, when rape of democracy was held by Biplab Deb, Twipra Students’ Federation and other units of Tipra Motha observed a “Black Day”.
The insane CM Biplab Deb however was removed from CM post in 2022, May month by BJP High Command marking an end to uncultured, lawless politics.
