AGARTALA, Jan 5 (TIWN): Amid very poor performance of the BJP Govt and unfulfilled promises of Vision Document in last 5 years, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday during his Dharmanagar rally has claimed that right now Tripura is freed from various problems which were faced by the state earlier. Amit Shah said, “Tripura was suffering from terrorism, intrusion, blockade, drug-smuggling, arm-smuggling, corruption earlier but now Vikas (development) has replaced them with the Double-Engine Govt. Previously the tribal population was deprived and Tripura was known for all these things. No Vikas and Connectivity have replaced them also”.

Amit Shah also mentioned about infrastructure development, spots, industrial investment, organic farming, and giving rights to tribal populations have been done by BJP.

Shah said, “We ended terrorism by dealing with NLFT. We gave shelter to Bru families. Extensions have been made to increase drinking water supplies further. 2.70 women got gas cylinders”.

“Before the election we had no MLA but after election ‘Purnobohumat-Sarkar was made. Such a rapid change we never saw, we never heard”, said Amit Shah.

“Today’s Jan-Viswas-Yatra will continue for 8 days long and the participants will march thousand KMs covering 60 Assemblies”, said Amit Shah.
