AGARTALA, Dec 20 (TIWN): On Monday night in Shanti Bazar area two brothers and their son were seriously injured by a knife attack by a young man, reportedly.

It is known that Haricharan Das and his son Rana Das along with his brother Gobind Pal were on the way to eat an invitation. But suddenly, a young man hits Haricharan Das first with a sharp weapon. Seeing Haricharan Das in a bloody state, his son Rana Das came forward, then that young man also hit Rana Das with a knife. And stabbed his uncle Govind Pal with a knife and bled him.

Their locals saw the matter rushed to the spot meanwhile, the accused fled from the spot.

Later, the fire brigade personnel went to the spot and rescued the three people in bloody condition and took them to Shanti Bazar Hospital. From there he was referred to GB Hospital for better treatment. Haricharan Das and his son Rana Das are presently under treatment in the hospital.

They don’t know why the youth attacked them.  Police rushed to the spot with the help of locals and arrested the accused youth from Shanti Bazar area. He is currently in police custody at Shanti Bazar police station, said Haricharan Das.
