AGARTALA, Dec 18 (TIWN): 26 opposition party workers were killed in Tripura in last five years of BJP rule. State had experienced massive numbers of political violence, record-breaking attacks on journalists. However, addressing Astabal rally, Prime Minister Modi stated that Tripura is undergoing a peaceful situation and ‘peace’ is finally settled in the state. PM further stated that under the “Double Engine” Govt, the development is happening fast and now the speed of ‘Vikas’ needs to be increased further. Modi praised Chief Minister Manik Saha and the cabinet for working effortfully to develop the state. PM Modi said the way Saha and his team are working it’s “praiseworthy”.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has advocated BJP’s “Double Engine” Govt, claiming further that the Double Engine Govt is working now in “Double Speed”.
Manik Saha was appointed as the CM in May month after BJP High Command chose him replacing former Chief Minister Biplab Deb because of several evidences of corruption and moral degradation against Deb.
