AGARTALA, Dec 17 (TIWN): 10323 teachers’ Joint Movement Committee (JMC) on Saturday staged a protest at Paradise Chowmuhani, Agartala seeking their jobs back. The protest was organized one day before Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Tripura. Addressing the occasion 10323 teachers’ leader Bijoy Krishna Saha said Tripura Govt is treating us as if we are from Mars or another planet but not from earth. When the Prime Minister Modi called for Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, he never only meant about road brooming but he meant about the cleanliness of mind too. Saha asked, BJP leaders, Minister always spread venom against 10323 teachers calling them cadres of CPI-M which shows that the leaders are far from the actual meaning of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

“PM Modi is arriving tomorrow to address the rally but the problem of 10323 teachers could not be solved in five years. The problem of 10323 teachers are same as before….That’s why we are peacefully demanding our rights today. We got jobs via proper interviews and if there was any mistake it’s the mistake of the Govt but we are innocent but whenever we raised voice we were beaten up, attacked. What was our fault ? We only wanted to educate the children. Selection board’s mistakes can’t be imposed on us. The Govt must keep its words as Sabka Sath, Sabka Bikas policy”, said Bijoy Krishna Saha.

10323 teachers lost their 147 colleagues who died of heart-attacks, without treatment and similar reasons.
