AGARTALA, Dec 12 (TIWN): As the assembly elections are coming, the weapons are being recovered. On Monday afternoon, the police of Mungiakami police station recovered a pistol from the forest in Bilai Kang area under Mungiakami PS.

As the Assembly elections are approaching and on the eve of assembly elections various firearms are being gradually stockpiled. Police and Tripura State Rifles troopers led by Mungiakami Police Station OC Gautam Debbarma from the Bilai Kang area of Atharomura hills, as on other days, went out on a search operation ahead of the assembly elections and based on a secret information recovered a gun in the forest in the Bilai Kang area.

Though the police were unable to arrest anyone in this gun recovery incident, but the police of Mungiakami PS are conducting a complete investigation on how the gun came to the forest.

But many initially think that maybe 'poachers' use these guns to kill various wild animals and noticing Police arrival, they dropped the gun and ran away.

However, the gun recovery incident under Mungiakami police station area has spread sensation among the local public.
