AGARTALA, Dec 9 (TIWN): Family members of 10323 teachers have joined the protest with JMC requesting Tripura Govt to secure the jobs of 10323 teachers. Kids also participated in the protest, requesting the Chief Minister to save their father’s jobs. Children sat with banners “Hon’ble Chief Minister. Please save my father’s job”. Joint Movement Committee (JMC) of 10323 teachers held a protest in Agartala asking the Govt to save their jobs immediately or they will go into massive protests.
“Govt must solve our problems right now If the Govt is thinking that without sending us to schools, the elections will be held then it’s wrong thinking. We request the Govt to solve our problems as per RTI and Para-127. Chief Minister held a meeting with us and assured us that our problems will be solved. Now, we demand our problems should be solved immediately. Otherwise, the Govt will face massive, lawless protests”, said Kamal Deb, a member of JMC.
“CM earlier promised us to resolve our matter. It’s 36 months that we are not getting our salaries. Within a few days, election dates will be announced. We want the Govt to secure our jobs right now”, said Kamal Deb.
BJP before 2018 election promised to resolve 10323 teachers’ problems by a constitutional amendment in the Parliament but so far the issue was not even raised in the parliament.
