AGARTALA, Dec 6 (TIWN): Paramedical passed out unemployed youths have demanded jobs on permanent basis. In a press meeting, the job aspirants said, a contractual job can not give a life security and so permanent jobs are demands of the hour. “If the Govt can not give us jobs then why so many paramedical colleges were allowed to be opened ? What is the meaning of such degrees which can’t ensure livelihood? So much propaganda was spread that unemployment problems have been diminished. If so who are we then ? “Not only we, but Doctors, Nurses are in protest seeking jobs. In Health dept heavy crisis are going on because labs have been privatized and so jobs are privatized".
"The private companies are using Govt infrastructure but enjoying the benefit from the business”, said a member of ‘All Medical Laboratory Technologists Association’ at Agartala Press Club.
“Earlier, under the Health dept, there was huge relaxation from the background that there are massive job opportunities but now unemployed youths’ rows have expanded”, he said.
