AGARTALA, Dec 3 (TIWN): Students of the Balaram Kobra Class 12th School sat on a road blockade to protest against the transfer of their teacher.

The incident took place on Saturday at Balaram Kobra Class 12th School in North Maharanipur area of Teliamura subdivision. Most of the students of the area come to study in the school.

But the school has only one teacher to teach Kakborok subject. At present, Tapas Debbarma, the only teacher of Kakborok subject, has also been transferred.

Protesting this, students blocked road. This road blockade by the students of Balaram Kobra Class XII School lasted for several hours.

Later, with the help of the school authorities and the SMC committee of the school, the local education department was contacted and on the assurance of the authorities, the students withdrew that road blockade after a few hours.
