AGARTALA, Dec 1 (TIWN): Mungiakami PS Police conducted an anti-cannabis operation on Wednesday morning on National Highway and got a huge success, the vehicle driver was arrested.
The Mungiakami PS police conducted a routine search in the area adjacent to the CRPF drop gate on the Assam- Agartala National Highway and seized a total of 386 kg dry cannabis from a long-distance lorry number- NL01AB4247. Along with the cannabis seizure, the vehicle driver from out state was detained by the Police.
The report of the incident was sent to Teliamura Sub-Divisional Police Officer Prasoon Kanti Tripura, he rushed to the spot after receiving the news and investigated the incident.
He said, the estimated market value of seized Cannabis is to be above Rs 3 lakh.
