The incident took place centering a program of the BJP party in Jampui Jala.

Injured Manoranjan Debbarma (35), a BJP worker was taken to local hospital. From there, he was referred to the GB Hospital.

BJP accused Tipra Motha for the attack and stated that a case will be registered against the Tipra Motha workers.

Injured Manoranjan Debbarma said he was setting stage for a party program when the Tipra Motha workers attacked them. However, no statement came from Tipra Motha countering the statement of BJP yet.
