AGARTALA, Nov 22 (TIWN): One of the strong causes to fight against Communists and vote against Communists back in 2017-18 was the promise of BJP that water-logging problems will be completely over in Agartala City but after 5 years of the Govt, that promise could not be fulfilled.

On Tuesday, Mayor Dipak Majumder visited Agartala’s various areas as a routine task which he started keeping the 2023 Election ahead.

Interacting with media, Majumder said, “Before we came to power we promised to beautify the city, clean the city, making it a Nesha-Mukt-state”. The Mayor scolded communists for the drug-addiction matter, saying it was Communists who were responsible for the Drug-spread in the society and BJP Govt is trying to end the addiction problems in this society”.

However, Mayor did not mention about the water-logging issue due to which after each rain Agartala City goes under water. Although BJP claims that water-logging in the city ends very fast in comparison to the previous Left Front Govt’s time but that is arbitrary when the promise was “No Water Logging after BJP comes to power”.
