AGARTALA, Nov 21 (TIWN): CPI-M party workers were injured in a deadly attack by BJP goons at the Camper Bazar area in Agartala on Sunday. Reacting to the incident, former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar who visited GB hospital to meet the injured workers said, “This is the condition of BJP’s propagated Sushashan. Everyday there are attacks on common men, opposition workers. But the Chief Minister desperately claiming that law and order condition is very stable. Chief Minister unfortunately is also the Home Minister”.

“Yesterday CPI-M local committee organized a program in Camper Bazar but police did not permit the program. Still CPI-M members organized the program but later, party decided to postpone it and planned to apply for further permission. Meanwhile, some BJP miscreants wearing black masks, helmet attacked the CPI-M members, which left them critical. They were around 35 to 40. As the miscreants were wearing masks, so they could not be identified. Is this so called Sushashan of BJP?”, said Manik Sarkar.

Chief Minister Manik Saha on Sunday held a meeting with all OCs of all police stations of the state and praised police over law and order situation.

“Tripura Police is no less than other state’s police. We have sent our TSR forces to Gujarat for election and also to Chattishgrah. In drug-seizure Tripura police’s works have been ranked second. Right now Law and Order situation is very good in Tripura”, said CM.

Reacting to the comment of CM, the former CM said that the everyday violent incidents are showing just the opposite color of his statement.
