AGARTALA, Nov 20 (TIWN): BJP continues to attack Opposition parties ahead of Election 2023, although oppositions are also not leaving the ground. After attack on Congress’s rally took place in Belonia yesterday, today another attack was reported at Charilam-Bishalgarh area. A video clip showing that BJP burnt firecrackers, and started hooliganism though police gave protection to the Congress workers. However, police did not take any action against the BJP workers but stopped any possible clashes. Reacting to such attacks, Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman said that such attacks can not stop Congress from becoming stronger day by day.

Congress has started “Tripura Bachao” movement as a part of “Bharat Jodo” program of the National Congress. Meanwhile various attack incidents were reported in the state during the processions statewide. Reacting to BJP’s attack on Congress in Belonia, Congress MLA Sudip Barman said by doing these, Congress can not be weaken, rather Congress will emerge as stronger than before. “Our workers took it as a challenge after they were attacked in Belonia and said the movement will continue with more enthusiasm. We are getting huge response from the people on Day-2 also”, said Sudip Barman.

Yesterday, on Day-1 of “Tripura Bachao” movement under “Bharat Jodo” program, Tripura Congress members were attacked by BJP workers in Belonia, Chottakhala area. The attack incident could be partially videographed by Congress workers but even after having the video evidence, no action was taken by OC of P.R.Bari Police station.
