AGARTALA, Nov 20 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Wednesday while addressing a program stated that all Govt jobs under Left Front were given based on Political Colour and the 10323 teachers are also parts of that ‘Laal-Bari’.

Condemning the statement, JMC 10323 teachers demanded the CM should withdraw his statement and must give a clarification. “Our present Chief Minister is Highly Educated, and has been a Professor. How could he say that all 10323 teachers were from Laal Bari ? That means all jobs except 10323 teachers were given under Left Front Govt’s time were given with political favoritism ? We never expected such a statement from him, who is highly educated and well-respected”, said Ajay Debbarma, leader of the 10323 teachers.

“Everyone knows that our jobs were gone due to wrong implementation of the policy. Govt’s policy was merit cum seniority cum need but Court did not find any mention of the ‘need’ in the recruitment policy as per law. But recently Supreme Court has accepted the Central Govt’s EWS quota policy. So, the “need” term is valid now. If the Govt wants, it can save us with this point”, said Ajay Debbarma said.

“CM said in October month, our problems will be solved but after his commitment also, our 6 colleagues died. We request the Chief Minister to keep his promise and to look into our matter”, said Ajay Debbarma.
