AGARTALA, Nov 19 (TIWN): On Day-1 of “Tripura Bachao” movement under “Bharat Jodo” program, Tripura Congress members were attacked by BJP workers in Belonia, Chottakhala area. The attack incident could be partially videographed by Congress workers but even after having the video evidence, no action was taken by OC of P.R.Bari Police station. Expressing resentment over police’s role, Congress leader said, “We informed the police but the OC did not take any action. Later police reached the hospital and so far no action was taken”. Mamin Mia, a Congress worker was injured in the attack incident. He is now hospitalized.
FIR was lodged against BJP workers but zero action so far.
Congress gheraoed PS Bari PS and demanded strict actions should be taken against the culprits immediately.
