AGARTALA, Nov 16 (TIWN): Secretary of the Power Dept held a press meet on Wednesday assuring no electric wire will be seen overhead within 1 year or mostly it may take 1 and half years to complete the underground connectivity projects across Agartala as a part of SMART City Project, assuring further that no load-shedding will happen by next 3 to 4 years.
‘No Electric Wire will be seen overhead within 1 year’, claims Tripura Power Dept, assured Total Under-Ground connections for Electricity.
The Dept also informed that Tripura is now in the second position in Northeast under the 10th Integrated rating of Power Distribution Utilities which was earlier in 4th Position.
The Secretary mentioned that no Electricity charge was hiked from 2018 amid rising gas prices which have now turned doubled. However, in reality, people are receiving 3 times more electricity bills than before. Nevertheless, at least one fact has been accepted that the gas price has been doubled by the State Govt.
“The State Govt will invest Rs. 1950 crores in next 3 years for further strengthen the distribution of networks to ensure 24X7 Power supply to all”, said the Secretary.
