AGARTALA, Nov 16 (TIWN): Physical tortures on a student named Anurag Roy have left him critically injured at Umakanta school.

Anurag Roy is right now admitted to a hospital outside Tripura.

The teacher has been identified as Gautam Rudra Pal.

Seeking punishment for the teacher, NSUI has placed a deputation to the Principal of Umakanata school. The authority however assured NSUI members that appropriate steps will be taken against Gautam Rudra Pal.
