AGARTALA, Nov 10 (TIWN): Although BJP led State Govt had spread a rumour on recruiting all TET qualified unemployed youths together but on Saturday morning, Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath clearly announced that there will an attempt of the State Govt to recruit 550 teachers next. Nath said that cabinet has approved already for that and now soon the process will start. However, before Durga puja it was assured that all TET qualified teachers will be recruited at a time. The crisis in recruitment continues amid massive teachers’ crisis, termination of 10323 teachers and retiring employees which has not only vacated seats but downed Govt salary expenditure a lot and if the Govt wants, it can recruit all TET qualified teachers at a time.

For now 3108 TET qualifiers are jobless. Tripura has over 20000 vacant posts in teaching and with 10323 teachers’ termination, Tripura Govt’s salary expenditure has massively downed and so if it wanted, thousands of teachers could be recruited by today.

Earlier before 2018, whenever TET exam result was declared, candidates were given offer letter immediately but now the entire system has turned a propaganda machinery for the Govt and election promo which has stopped recruitment for years and ahead of election recruitment started and the Govt is hoping media praises.

BJP before 2018 election in Vision Document promised to fill up 50,000 vacancies within a year which were existing under the then Left Govt but now after 4.5 years also, BJP is far from those promises.
