KHUMUWLNG, Nov 10 (TIWN): The death toll among 10323 teachers raised to 145 with one more teacher passed away with a broken heart on Thursday.

Sujit Debbarma, a resident of Khumuwlng has died of heart attack.

Reacting to the rising death row, Joint Movement Committee (JMC) of 10323 teachers’ leader Kamal Deb blamed Chief Minister Manik Saha for his irresponsible statement behind the deaths of 10323 teachers.

“Recently many times, CM Manik Saha mentioned that 10323 teachers’ jobs were not given by BJP Govt and so it’s not his Govt duty to solve the matter, forgetting his party led given tall promises. We have observed since his statements, the deaths of 10323 teachers have increased”, said Kamal Deb.

10323 teachers were terminated without termination letters after Supreme Court’s verdict. The verdict has however lots of explanations and 10323 teachers are of the view that their jobs were not gone. BJP before 2018 Election verbally and in written promised to solve 10323 teachers’ problems anyhow and to restore their jobs by constitutional amendments. However, BJP has failed to keep its promise in 5 years and teachers are jobless for last 32 months.
