AGARTALA, Nov 3 (TIWN): Terminated 10323 teachers have slammed the BJP-led State Govt for its attitude to the hunger strike undergoing teachers as even after 15 days have passed, there is no intention of the Govt to send a single cabinet Minister to meet the agitating teachers to know what is their actual demand. Lamenting over the situation, Pradip Banik, a leader of the 10323 teachers said, “Back in 2018 the then Left Govt initially assured us to stay beside us whereas later they gave up and failed to bring any permanent solution for us. We believed in BJP due to its assurance. We still have faith in BJP Govt but it has to give us a solution so that we can trust the Govt. We are still hopeful and expecting a solution in this matter”.
“Today Chief Minister is sold to our demands. He can solve our problems by talking to the Center. If, he can’t solve our problems, then let us get our termination letters. Our children could not fill up forms for NEET because of our income. We are still shown as Govt employees. If we are terminated, the Govt has to give us termination letters. We are not shown terminated and at the same time we are deprived of our salaries for 32 months”, Pradip Banik told media.
10323 teachers are in Hunger Strike for 15 days in front of Rabindra Bhawan. So far 21 teachers fallen sick. According to 10323 teachers, they were never terminated except a little section of teachers who were part of the judgment.
