AGARTALA, Nov 1 (TIWN): The villagers of Chandra Para blocked Chelagang- Notun Bazaar roads under Amarpur Assembly due over drinking water scarcity and Power Cut in the area for long days. This Janjati villager reportedly is suffering from severe drinking water shortage. The matter was reported to MLA Ranjit Das and Mandal President Sanjay Chakraborty but they did not take any initiative to solve the drinking water crisis besides solving the Electricity issue.

No administrative officials met with the villagers and talked with the local villagers.

Resulting, the local people with a huge angst blocked the road, they stated that they will not remove their blockade until they are getting assurance their problems would be fixed. It is known the villagers were on the blockade till late night.
