AGARTALA, Sep 27 (TIWN): Raising 3 points demand the Anganwadi workers and helpers blocked roads in Khowai this Morning. The road was blocked mainly on 3 points demand.

The Anganwadi workers raised demands to regularise their Jobs, to pay equal salary according to the equal work, to provide gratuity, to increase the Job tenure up to 65, to start post-retirement pension scheme and other benefits like government employees.

However, after hearing road blockade news Sinai PS Police arrived at the blockade spot to lift the blockade but the road blockade was going on for a long time despite Mohanpur ICDS office CDPO Deepak Sarkar came to the spot and spoke to the workers.

However, vehicles were stuck on both sides and traffic was disrupted due to road blockade for a long time.
