AGARTALA, Sep 7 (TIWN): CPI-M on Wednesday placed a deputation to AMC authority with various demands.

The demands included daily workers’ pay hikes which was promised by BJP Govt before 2018 Election that the minimum wage will be Rs. 340.

CPI-M also demanded that the double-engine govt now must make the social pension Rs. 2000 and restore all the pensions which were closed by this Govt depriving thousands of beneficiaries.

Also the pathetic road condition issue was raised in the deputation program.

Before the rally, a massive rally was organized by the CPI-M which walked around the town from Melarmath party office.
