AGARTALA, July 7 (TIWN): A Bangladeshi woman was detained by Belonia PS police identified as Shimul Akhter. The suspected woman was detained from Dolly Akhter's house in Amjad Nagar area and brought to the PS.
The detained woman Shimul Aktar said that she is a resident of Bongaon area in West Bengal and during interrogation a man named Sumon Mia of Amjad Nagar came up. Though the detained woman has all kinds of proof of Indian citizenship but she has Bangladesh’s SIM which erupted doubt. Although on her Documents addresses are mentioned in Delhi and Chandigarh.
She doesn't even know that in Indian rupees whose face is printed, she reportedly claimed that Indian money has pictures of ‘Indira Gandhi’.
The detained woman claimed that she came to Tripura from West Bengal to get Heart Treatment in Belonia. Inconsistency was captured in her speech which is causing suspicion.
It is speculated that she may have been involved with militant groups, especially the Slipper Cell.
