The incident took place in Noagao area of ??Ishabpur Gram Panchayat in Kailasahar, under Gournagar block of Kailasahar.

Abdul Karim and wife Ruzina Begum had a heated argument late on Wednesday night during which Ruzina Begum became agitated and stabbed her husband Abdul Karim in the back of the head with a knife.

Getting information, fire brigade team rushed to the spot and took the injured man to local hospital. After primary treatment, he was referred to Unakoti Dist Hospital.

An FIR was lodged against Ruzina in the local PS, but Ruzina fled from Begum Abdul Karim's house after the incident. Police are now searching for the accused Ruzina Begum.
