BELONIA, July 7 (TIWN): In a shocking incident, a young man Abhijit Debnath (26) was found murdered on Thursday in Sankar Shil’s house in Haripur, Hrishyamukh area of Belonia. At the primary assumption, Sankar Shil is the murderer of the young man who is absconding. Getting information, Belonia Police rushed to the spot with dog squad and police team. Forensic team also reached the spot but the accused Sankar Shil is so far out of trace. Talking to an on-duty police official, he informed that as the area is very close to Border, so Tripura police are taking the help of Bangladesh police in case he escaped by crossing the border. Also, alerts have been put on Borders and other interstate routes.

Family members of slain youth Abhijit Debnath are shocked over the incident. They said, Abhijit went out with cattle but did not return yesterday night. Today morning his body was found in horrifying condition.

Police started investigation, search operations are underway and the body has been sent for post-mortem.

Police said the motive of the crime is yet unknown and they are working on that angle too.
