AGARTALA, July 2 (TIWN): A 12-year-old girl was raped by her stepfather in a rented house in Kalitila area of Bhattapukur, Agartala in absence of her mother.

The 12 years minor girl stated that several times her step-father abused her physically in absence of her mother. The accused is identified as Amar Namah.

The incident came to notice by one of the members in the house and the matter was reported to the guardian of the rented house. 

Police have arrested Amar Namah.
