AGARTALA, June 2 (TIWN): The Communist Party of India on Thursday has slammed the BJP led State Govt for its failure to control massive pre-poll violence in the state ahead of elections in four constituencies.
Addressing media, CPI-M leader Sudhan Das said, “BJP is violence is nothing news and is expression of its frustration. But people will not stop by these as the people are now ready to fight back. Public have started speaking against the dictatorship amid BJP’s ongoing attacks”.
CPI-M state secretary Jitendra Chowdhury mentioned about the violence took place at Dhalai, Udaipur, Belonia, Mohanpur and also drew the attention of state election commission. Chowdhury further expressed shocks over the attack at Rajnagar hospital by BJP where injured CPI-M members were admitted.
CPI-M demanded strict action against the miscreants immediately.
