AGARTALA, July 20 (TIWN): In a major breakthrough against drug trafficking in Tripura, Agartala Battalion of Assam Rifles Under the Aegis of Headquarter 21 Sector Assam Rifles and Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) seized 240.32 KG of Ganja.

Based on specific intelligence, Assam Rifles launched an operation in conjunction with Custom Department & staff of Bhadhjung Nagar Police Station in General Area Murabari, Jirania Sub Division, West Tripura District and seized 240.32  Kg of Ganja with Approx market value of 36 Lakh .

The seized recoveries were handed over to Custom Department for further legal proceedings.
