AGARTALA, July 6 (TIWN): Tripura's Corona-Curfew has turned a "political curfew" amid the opposition Congress has alleged that the ongoing Curfew is being misused by BJP Govt to prevent opposition voices. Police's double role was witnessed on Tuesday when they arrested 10323 teachers but statewide BJP party made massive gatherings, organized programmes as a part of BJP's national programme. 10323 teachers had gathered in limited number in front of City Centre today to pay tribute to the departed souls of the 10323 teachers but in the middle of the programme, the teachers were arrested, police stretched the terminated teachers to buses. But, at the same time BJP party members have celebrated this day across the capital city Agartala and the same police dept under Sadar could not take any action against ruling party BJP''s programmes.

Everyday there are similar stories repeated in the media but police could not play any neutral role yet in such political issues. It raises the question, is not there any Covid threat when the BJP party makes a gathering ?
