AGARTALA, July 4 (TIWN): In Mob lynching case on suspicion of cow theft at North Maharanipur in Teliamura along with the killed 3, there was a minor boy who has been missing since the incident day. The minor’s dead body was recovered from deep forest of North Maharani Shuvaram Para under Mungiakami PS and brought to Teliamura Hospital, but allegation raised that the Autopsy department’s incharge demanded Rs 6,000 from the family otherwise autopsy would not be done.
The body of Salim Mia alias Hridoy, 16 years old of Baradowal area, who was killed along with three youths from Sonamura area on suspicion of cow theft, was recovered from the deep forest of North Maharani Shuvaram Para under Mungiakami police station on Saturday.
On receiving news family members of the deceased Salim Mia rushed to Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital from Sonamura area on Sunday morning and identified the body by noticing wound marks on his leg. However, Salim's body has not been autopsied yet as the demise Salim’s family alleged that the worker who was in charge of the autopsy department at Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital demanded Rs 6,000 for his autopsy in front of Police.
Paying such a huge amount for Salim’s autopsy is quite difficult for the deceased family as the family is poor, so his body is still lying in the morgue of Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital.
However, while media asked the in charge, Niru Das of the autopsy department, he refused to talk about it before the media.
