Agartala, December 15 (TIWN): Opposition leader Sudip Roy Barman, on Monday again slammed Chief Minister of the silent spectator in NBFC issue. While interacting with the media persons, Mr. Barman told that till now the State Government had failed to take any steps regarding the chit fund case.
In the meantime, many depositors had committed suicide, after non-receipt of the money deposited by them. The primary question raised in current stage due to the non-involvement of Government is:
1. Why State Government unable to control all these non-banking financial Company opposition?
2. Why the State Government keeping silence to all these companies after knowing all the facts?
3. Why the owners of all these 92 chit fund companies are not arrested yet?
4. Why the Government could not capture all the properties of these chit fund companies ?
Though a letter was written to Chief Minister about the progress in this Chit fund case on May 7th, 2014, but till now no action had been taken. On the other hand, it was also informed that CBI investigation was not granted all the 37 cases, instead of that only five cases were accepted.
Other than that opposition leader Sudip Roy Barman, raised the issue of fake crackdown on Non Banking Financial Companies (NBFCS) including Rose Valley, one of the biggest money marketing farms in the Eastern India.
Slamming the government for mushrooming of NBFCs, Barman alleged it was the state government which had issued trade licenses to different chit fund companies.
“All the chit fund agencies landed in the state with the active cooperation from the state government. Now, the government is keeping distance from such companies”, he said. Expressing concern over fates of lakhs of depositor following raid at Rose Valley’s regional office, he wanted to know the state government stand on the sensitive issue.
Raising the issue highlighted in the Assembly, opposition leader told that information’s demanded from the then Finance Minister Badal Chowdhury. In reply, Finance Minister said the Rose Valley has been doing the business without permission from the RBI and SEBI since long time.
Asserting that the company could not receive public deposit without permission from the appropriate authority, Chowdhury said the Rose Valley authority could not reply on huge amount of deposit.
According to him, the Rose Valley had collected Rs. 196.88 core till April this year of which only Rs. 86.70 crore has been given to its depositors after maturity. However, it could not show where the remaining money Rs. 110.18 crore was deposited.Chowdhury said the entire matter has gone to the court after registration of cases against Rose Valley.
In past 10 to 15 years, from Sarada Chit fund to Rose Valley's mushrooming busniess in Tripura, top leaders of Melarmath not only benifitted crores and crores in return but actively involved in chit fund business. A CBI investigation only will unearth this corrupt nexus.
Old Youtube video of Sarada Scamster MP Kunal Ghosh with CM Manik Sarkar on Tripura's "successful Tourism Industry" - though Tourism infrastructure hardly exists - Scamsters like Kunal oiled CM and Melarmath to make inroads in Tripura with Sarada Chit fund companies, in return they publicized fake "progress reports of state". In video one can see that CM equating total number of Air Passengers arriving in Tripura in a year as "Tourists"to boast his State's performance.
