AGARTALA, Feb 11 (TIWN): Education Minister Ratanlal Nath on Wednesday after a cabinet meeting announced that the teachers who will get appointment after qualifying TET examinations but don't have B.Ed degree will not get equal benefits as B.Ed holders. Moreover, they have to complete their B.Ed by two years and how would they complete their B.Ed, it's upto them and Govt will try to give them post near (District Institute Of Education and Training) DIET colleges but it's not sure. Ratanlal Nath said, "Those who have utilized the One-Time-Relaxation for B.Ed by cracking TET examination will get appointments. Central Govt by maintaining law, had given this relaxation. But although Centre said, State Govt has to convert it into law. So, their appointments will be under terms and conditions that by two years, they have to complete their B.Ed degrees, otherwise they will not get full benefits. We will try to post them near the DIET colleges but, not sure, but they have to complete their professional course".
However, once B.Ed is completed then the teachers will get same benefits.
Fresh applications also have been invited for more TET examinations.

He added, "We sought TET teachers but TRBT could not give many teachers. Total 2373 posts are needed to be filled up. That's why TRBT has called for TET exams. Now TRBT also announced exam schedules for STGT, STPGT. Exams will be conducted on 04/04/2021 (for STGT), 11/04/2021 (STPGT) and examinations will be held 12 noon to 2.30.
