AGARTALA, Jan 22 (TIWN): Bail plea in former CPI-M Minister Badal Chowdhury was rejected once again and Court ordered to keep Chowdhury in jail custody till February 2nd.
The next hearing will be on February 2nd.
The order was passed amid no proper evidence could be placed by the police yet in that case.
On February 2nd either via video conferencing or from jail, Badal Chowdhury to be produced before the Court.
After the order, Advocate Bhaskar Debbarma said that this judgement is totally unsatisfactory and on the logic of 90 days custody should be given to a person without any chargesheet, it is not acceptable. Also the hearing was completed yesterday but order was passed today is something suspicious.
Advocates to hold a meeting, whether to go to High Court or not.
