AGARTALA, Jan 20 (TIWN): So far Chief Minister Biplab Deb has failed to visit custodial murder case victim Sushanta Ghosh’s home although he continues to visit people’s home and attend invitations, lunch, dinner etc. Neither Judicial probe was given nor any special investigation was conducted. Also, no arrest of police official was done, indirectly raising finger at the Govt’s intention and alleged nexus with the murder. Amid demands for Judicial probe by opposition and common men in Sushanta Chakraborty custodial sensational murder case, BJP Govt has been strict to Magisterial investigation yet. Today West DM Sandeep Mahatme has visited West Agartala Police station, talked to the police officials and has checked across on January 16. However, Subrata Chakraborty was seen active during the visit, who was the OC of West Agartala PS during Sushanta Ghosh’s murder, keeping the CCTV camera off and still existing in the same position as no action was taken against him. Nevertheless, he was OC even when Badal Choudhury, the former CPI-M Minister was forcefully brought from ILS hospital to West Agartala PS on 30th October, 2019 and it was Subrata Chakraborty to push Badal Choudhury into lockup and to leak that CCTV footage of Badal Choudhury inside lockup in social media of BJP IT cell members.

However, DM West Sandeep Mahatme  asked the witnesses to visit the DM Office Court on January 24 and to give witnesses and their identities will be kept hidden.

Earlier, the same DM West was removed by Election Commission electoral duty in repoll of West seat’s LS Election. He also handled the hearing of Daily Desher Katha newspaper in wrong way and then stayed by High Court of Tripura. His report remained unsatisfactory in case of Madhav Bari violence also.

So how far justice can be hoped in this case, only timespan will say about it.

BJP Govt has paid Rs. 3 lakhs to the family, although it was claimed that Sushanta Ghosh committed suicide but CCTV camera was suspiciously off on that night of January 12, 2020.
