AGARTALA, Jan 8 (TIWN): While agitating before Sadar HQ on Tuesday, Subal Bhowmik said, any more further illegal attacks or harassment of our youths will lead massive protest in the state and the protest to be staged before the Chief Minister’s quarter. Bhowmik said, “Today in population ration, Tripura’s crime rate against women is highest in India. This is not our data but said by NCRB. The crime which was continuing from the CPI-M Govt’s time now worse due to deteriorating law and order conditions. Girls, women do not feel safe to go out of home. When women’s safety is under severe attacks, Chief Minister Biplab Deb has no concern. But amid all such situations today women, mothers and sisters have come out to stage protest because in this situation, people can not be stuck silent anymoreâ€. “Our state may be small but people are aware, When women power necessitated to save the state then nobody can stop. Before 21 months, the change came due to women and they changed their mindsâ€, said Subal Bhowmik.
“Today women have decided to outcast the Govt and thus they are on road today”, said Bhowmik.
Congress women leader Ratna Dutta said that the way crimes against women increased in state and nationwide, Congress will not sit silently.
She further warned the Govt not to harass youth congress activists like this just they did with Arindam Bhattacharjee. She said, Congress will not tolerate such illegal activities of the Govt.
Arindam Bhattacharjee was arrested by Police for a social media post where he alerted BJP’s CAA number 8866299662 saying that it can hack a mobile phone.
