Women Commission, Police not taking complaint of tortured housewife of BJP HQ activist Victor Shome’s home

AGARTALA, Jan 6 (TIWN): Women Commission and Police are allegedly not taking any complaint of a tortured housewife who is being tortured for many years, living separately from her in-law’s home.

The BJP activist is Victor Shome and allegation is against Subhajit Shome, Victor’s elder brother. She went to Secretariat where her husband works but she was allegedly beaten by her husband there.

The victim, wife of Subhajit was tortured from the beginning of their marriage life and after her child born the level of tortures increased a lot. Many times, she went to lodge complaint but her father-in-law’s name was popular among police and thus nobody lodged any complaint, alleged the victim.

When she goes to meet her husband, her in-laws family tell her that he is not at home and thus she can never meet him. May be intentionally her husband is avoiding her and her child to meet  but allegedly Subhajit already introducing another woman as his wife.

She complained that she went to Women Commission but they are not taking any complaint as her husband is Victor’s elder brother.

The victim further alleged that she deprive of her voter-ID card and can’t cast vote due to extreme negligence of her in-laws.
