AGARTALA, Dec 27 (TIWN): Visiting the local markets in Agartala nothing was experienced improved as the shopkeepers in the city are undergoing losses, facing customerless situations for a total financial year. Either Christmas or New Year, no festival is worth of enough expenditure due to drop in the business and effect in people’s daily earning. Today correspondents visited various shops and market sheds, empty customerless situations frustrated the sellers. The situations are different for the Govt employees little bit but others remain in miserable conditions. During the recent surveys on working class people, frustrations were spotted on the heights of the layers, although the Government has declined poverty report.Ahead of New Year when business should be on peak, there is no such glimpse yet in the capital city Agartala. As a part of the regular surveys, on Friday, TIWN talked to local people, specially working class but almost everyone has triggered tensions about the financial conditions.

Talking to TIWN a rickshaw driver said, “It has become tough for us to manage our days meals. People don’t even want to ride rickshaws”. Another rickshaw driver said, “We thought, a massive revolution will take place once the Govt is changed but now our incomes have heavily downed further. Don’t know what to do”.

A cobbler said, “Govt promised us to help us in various ways. It promised to help us in various means and also to set a company for us. But even after submitting all papers, nothing was done”.

A local cosmetics seller told TIWN, “The business is going well till the half of the month but after that no business at all……..earlier we used to earn everyday”.

The fast-food seller in hawkers corner said same.

A E-rickshaw driver said, “Day-night we are doing duties, but unable to manage our two times meals. Earlier one time works could earn Rs. 800 to Rs. 900. Now two times also Rs. 300. I am roaming for 3 hours. Till now earned Rs. 70. Just listened now, the Govt representatives are announcing to ban E-Rickshaw. What option we will have then except suicides ?”
