AGARTALA, Dec 25 (TIWN): Coming into power assuring the people employment opportunities, getting a job is merely a day dream. Unemployment rate has reached at a peak, where the youths are direction less. Where the ruling Government assured people “50,000 jobs in one year” , “one job at every household”, “jobs on miss call”, all turned out to be a biggest JUMLA. The suited Booted Accidental CM who never disappoints the people of the State with his high knowledge, says, “It takes 17 years to complete Madhyamik , 20 years for graduation, and 25 years to complete Phd, how will I give jobs in 20 months”? Where the CM provides jobs to his rich party supporters on a single phone call, he asks poor needy people for pig and cattle rearing.

Daily workers are on the Dole; no work, no money, hike in everyday items leads them in desperation. Slowdown hits daily workers in the state, amidst compromise with low wages, urban bodies continues with a ‘no work’ situation.Under the rule of BJP Govt. in Tripura workless situations have raised to a severe extent. Along with the massive down of man days in MGNREGA, decrease in availability of work is running low gradually. As the slowdown affected Common man, Businessman, workers’ demand  too are low. While surveying the markets, hundreds of workers were found idle without any work, whereas earlier the situation was quite different. Where the wages were high, MGNREGA days were available regularly, also works were provided at a large number. But today, workers are seen waiting for hours , without any work.

Price hike of everyday items, Power tariff, poor market conditions, workless situations, leads to pathetic condition of common people in the “Diamond era”. This creates a in-debt situation of the farmers and poor families out of fear, chooses to commit suicide poisoning the whole family.

The “Diamond Era” witnessed tremendous rise in women related crimes and unnatural deaths. The “BIG HEADS” of the JUMLA Party itself are listed in women related crimes. But alas! No actions are taken against them. The Administration remains silent.

2020 thus comes with severe Economic crisis , joblessness, price hikes, unsafe conditions for women, with no developmental work, rather than boasting about works done in public gatherings .
