Gomati SP Ramesh Reddy dedicates duty in BJP Bhakti, Complaint sent to DGP

AGARTALA, Dec 25 (TIWN): Inactive role of Gomati district police superintendent Ramesh Reddy during yesterday’s violence in Udaipur which erupted after CPI-M kicked off a rally was however, not unexpected as this is the job he dedicated on part of his duty towards public by serving the BJP leaders and activists obediently.

Not only in case of Mangal Das murder in lockup that BJP’s pressure dumped the investigation but the SP from the beginning has been treating the opposition in politically motivated manner. On yesterday a complaint copying news media was sent to DGP.

The letter stated that the CPI-M party which called a rally and also take advance police permission, after started within few minutes faced threats, witnessed pelting of bricks, bottle towards rally.

Former Minister Ratan Bhowmik, ex MLA Madhab Saha and many senior leaders were seriously injured. Many supporters also wounded.

Till late evening around 100-150 people stuck at district CPI-M office, near old Town hall, Udaipur.

The incident indeed took place  before R K Pur Police station and the SP office too but even after complaining to the SP via phone he didn’t take strict actions.

More than 200 BJP supporter gheraoed the political party office. The CPI-M activists were feeling very much insecure inside political party office. There were senior citizens also and their health condition getting deteriorated.

On the other side, also more than 30-40 BJP supporters gathered local subdivision hospital, Udaipur town although the hospital is always prohibited to gather more than 5 people at a particular place without any specific reasons.

The CPI-M supporters had asked Police to check the CCTV footage 24/12/2019 from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
