AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, Dec 6 (TIWN): Petrol prices in Agartala have been turning more volatile, as prices of crude oil have been showing a firm trend and today’s petrol price in Agartala ₹ 75.46 (6th December 2019).
The rupee has also moved lower against the dollar, which has made petrol prices in Agartala more expensive than before. It is hoped that the government can reduce excise duties, so as to enable rates to become more cheaper in the coming days.
After being stable for four consecutive days, the price of petrol was decreased for the first time in a month today. State-run fuel retailers dropped the price by 5 paise a litre while diesel rate was left untouched once again. In New Delhi, a litre of petrol is selling at ₹74.86 while diesel was at ₹65.78.
