AGARTALA, Dec 4 (TIWN): CBI already interrogated Syandan’s Subal Dey for involvement in Journalist Sudip Datta Bhowmik Murder case as slain Journalist was murdered for carrying out order from Subal Dey for Rs 3.5lakhs extortion from TSR Commandant Tapan Debbarma. After publishing sensitive defamatory news with sole aim of extortion, no Editor will permit his journalist to visit and meet the persons alone against whom news has been published in his paper, but in case of Tripura Bengali newspaper Syandan newspaper Editor safety of journalist comes later, but the profit first. After Sudip Dutta Bhoumik’s horrifying murder by TSR Commandant Tapan Debbrama Subal Dey told national media his own versions. He said, Sudip Dutta Bhoumik had received a call on his mobile phone from Tapan Debbarma on 21st November morning. Tapan Debbarma asked Bhaumik to meet him at his office later in the day so that he could present his side of the story. “Sudip Dutta Bhoumik called me at around 10 in the morning to ask what he should do. I told him, ‘Go, but take a recorder with you”, Subal Dey told media, whereas the murder accused side mentioned about money-dealing issue although Police didn’t confirm that.

This incident also raised eyebrows how Subal Dey like Edtors misuse poor journalists to play with their lives, whereas it Subal Dey’s duty to handle the whole conversation with Tapan Debbarma or he could ask Debbarma to come to his office, but instead of doing that he sent Sudip Dutta Bhoumik simply just showing careless attitude towards own office journalists.

Scroll.in reporting : “The pots and small shrubs in the garden right outside TSR office were all scattered. It seemed there was some sort of scuffle.” A theory doing the rounds in the media is that a scuffle broke out when Bhaumik refused to undergo a body search after Debbarma accused him of trying to steal documents and money from his office. Bhaumik’s colleagues dismiss the story.

Reports said a TSR trooper shot dead Sudip Datta Bhowmik from point-blank range just outside the office of Commandant Tapan Debbarma at around 11.30 a.m. Surprisingly, the journalist was taken to GB Pant Hospital here at around 2.30 p.m where doctors declared him brought dead.

Even according to Dey, Sudip Dutta Bhaumik received a call on his mobile phone from Tapan Debbarma on 21st November 2018 morning. Debbarma asked Bhoumik to meet him at his office later in the day so that he could present his side of the story, the editor said. But fact is this was not the first news published against Tapan Debbarma and after publishing news against a person, why journalist will visit to meet the same person against whom he filed the news.

Question is, why Sudip Dutta Bhoumik was sent in TSR Bn alone ? Did those news published in Sudip Datta Bhoumik’s by name ?
