SONAMURA / AGARTALA, Nov 23 (TIWN): Thursday night's brutal murder allegedly by car hit on Karamchora Police Officer Durgachandra Wrankhawl by smuggler Bishwajit Bhowmik's Phensedyl smuggling vehicle, Bishwajit Bhowmik is MP Pratima Bhowmik's brother. Questions being raised across Tripura why CM Biplab Deb is silent, why Police is not allowed to arrest Bishwajit and interrogate narcotics smuggling cartel across Boxanagar-Sonamura region. On Thursday night, 3 Phensedyl smuggling convoy circled honest police officer Durga Chandra Hrankhawl and murdered him by overrunning vehicle over slain officer. Biplab Deb's silence over Pratima's brother's crime empire implied surrender to Pratima's narcotics empire which is main source of BJP's funding in Tripura. From mouth to mouth one name is accused behind the murder that is Pratima Bhowmik’s brother Bishwajit Bhowmik, but so far the persons sitting inside the vehicles could not be arrested, neither the number plate of the caught vehicle could be revealed by Police.

Bishwajit Bhowmik’s smuggling empire was accused by former BJP President of Yuva Morcha at Sonamura Sundar Ali for having strong smuggling network whereas he also challenged he can prove in the Court how Bishwajit is connected with the smuggling den. Not only this, BJP’s MLA Surajit Dutta himself told media how Pratima Bhowmik’s right hand Tapas Ghosh is connected with the phensedyl smuggling empire under the shelter of Pratima Bhowmik.

Police’s failure to arrest all the culprits after 2 days of the incident has erupted resentments among the public, whereas immediately Law Minister Ratanlal Nath has announced Rs. 10 lakhs for the victim family but no strong condemnation was heard from him against the Boxonagar smugglers.

Who are Sonamura and Boxonagar based smuggling Kings and Queen it is known by the locals and mouth to mouth only Pratima’s borther Bishwajit’s name comes out.

So far, no press conference was done from the police headquarter after the daring murder of police officer Durga Chandra Hrankhawal.

The incident took place at Sonamura-Boxonagar road at around 11.30 pm when on being informed via secret sources Karamchara Police led by Durga Chardra Hrangkhawl rushed to the spot and chased the vehicle. At first a Swift car rushed over the police official whereas more vehicles came behind it. After the incident immediately he was taken to Boxonagar hospital and referred in GB. Today around 9.50 am he breathed his last. 

These phensedyl carrying vehicle has killed  the police officer was a sub-inspector appointed in Karamchara PS named Durga Chardra Hrangkhawl.Today he was paid the last tribute by the Police and State administration.The murder took place when the police official was doing his duty honestly and stopped the vehicle. The smugglers ran the vehicle over the police official.

Addressing media, DGP A K Sukla said that this incident can not be mark as an accident only, rather it is an intentional murder of police officer. DGP said, “I am personally very sad because I know that officer personally very well and also during my Karamchara visit, I saw him, met him”.

Moreover, Law Minister Ratanlal Nath’s too much interest in this case itself reveals BJP wants to hide something as it was only this Minister who saved crime accused MLA Ram Prasad Pal from arrest even after High Court’s order. Pal’s brother Mana Pal is another alleged smuggler.
