AGARTALA, Nov 19 (TIWN): Citing example, how the administration’s independent functions are disable by Biplab Deb Govt, former MP Jitendra Choudhury today said L K Gupta who is from Rajasthan is not only an honest man but rarely such honest and dedicated bureaucrats are seen, whom Biplab Deb removed from Chief Secretary Post and posted him in SIPARD.

Insulted, L K Gupta was forced to go in voluntary retirement. Such incidents prove how much the democratic pillars are safe today under Biplab Deb Govt, Jitendra Choudhury said.

Lalit Kumar Gupta (L K Gupta) who was the Chief Secretary of Tripura, then posted as the head of SIPARD has gone in voluntary retirement.

Lalit Kumar Gupta is 1987 batch of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, Tripura cadre. 

Gupta held a spotless, clean image throughout his IAS career.

He was former Chief Secretary but after Lok Sabha Election, Gupta was shifted to another department removing him as Chief Secretary. It was indeed rarest incident in Tripura’s bureaucratic-reshuffling history.
