AGARTALA, Nov 7 (TIWN): A 45 years old woman died after she was hit by a running train at Malaynagar, Agartala.

The deceased has been identified as Sita Das, W/O-Dhirendra Das, resident of Malaynagar, 99 No-Tila.

The incident took place at 5.30 AM when she was returning from a nigh-long religious programme (kirtan).

Eye witnesses said she was hit by the train when was crossing the tracks and died on spot.

Police have taken her body for post mortem.
