AGARTALA, Oct 5 (TIWN): Tripura's vegetable prices which are naturally more than double in compare to other states, was recorded by more prices today as maximum people on first 3 days of Durga puja prefer veg menus at homes.
Vegetable crisis and high prices reported across Tripura with a continuous hike-maintained price tags along with massive business losse.
Whereas Agartala markets are dependent upon exported items at the same time semi-urban and urban areas are suffering due to lack of vegetable and high prices.
Vegetable sellers are undergoing heavy losses in Agartala due to lack of buyers. The reason behind lack of buyers are however the extreme price of vegetables but in Gol Bazar, where price stays little down all the time, numbers of buyers are also less.
The vegetables collections are also less as the shop-keepers are unable to sell the stored vegetable items.
